Lovely Lady dressed in blue,
Teach me how to pray.
God was just your little boy.
Tell me what to say.

Did you lift him up sometimes
Gently on your knee?
Did you sing to Him the way
Mother does to me?

Did you hold His hand at night?
Did you ever try telling stories of the world?
Oh, and did He cry?

Do you think He cares
If I tell Him things, little things that happen?
And do the angels wings make a noise?
And can He hear me if I speak low?
Does He understand me now?
Tell me, for you know

The following prayer was recited by Pope Francis at the conclusion of the Rosary in May 2013.

Mary, woman of listening,
open our ears;
grant us to know
how to listen to the word of your Son Jesus
among the thousands of words of this world;
grant that we may listen to the reality in which we live,
to every person we encounter,
especially those who are poor, in need, in hardship.

Mary, woman of decision,
illuminate our mind and our heart,
so that we may obey, unhesitating,
the word of your Son Jesus;
give us the courage to decide,
not to let ourselves be dragged along,
letting other direct our life.

Mary, woman of action,
obtain that our hands and feet move “with haste”
toward others,
to bring them the charity and love of your Son Jesus,
to bring the light of the Gospel to the world,
as you did. Amen
