HE IS RISEN! ALLELUIA! Happy Easter from the clergy and staff at St. Joseph Parish, Cold Spring! Let’s keep the celebration going! The Jewish people observe the sabbath on the 7th day of the week – Saturday. But the early Christians, many of whom were Jews, began gathering on Sundays to listen to the Word of God and share in the breaking of the bread – the Eucharistic meal.  They called Sunday “The Lord’s Day” and gathered on this day to worship because Sunday was the day of the Resurrection! Every Sunday is actually a “little Easter”, so COME & RECEIVE The Risen Christ every Sunday at Mass!
