Director of Religious Education: St. Joseph Parish

My faith journey began with Baptism in Germany and First Communion in Colorado, but St. Joseph Parish has been my spiritual home for most of my life. It is where I received the rest of my Sacraments and where I married my wife, Kari, in 2003. Together, we are blessed with four children: Brianna, Jonah, Micah, and Elijah. In addition to our first Grandchild: Oaklie.

A Lifelong Call to Serve

Answering the call to ministry immediately after high school, my path led me from serving as a 4th-grade assistant to teaching 5th grade for three years. This journey progressed directly into my current role leading the Parish School of Religion. I believe our children are the vibrant future of our Church, and I consider it a true blessing to partner with parents as the primary educators of their children’s faith. In recognition of this dedication, I was humbled to receive the Catechetical Leadership Award in May 2021.

Leading by Example

I am committed to seeking God’s call through active service. My involvement at St. Joe’s has spanned many ministries, including:

  • Leadership & Prep: Baptismal Prep and Seder Meal Coordinator
  • Liturgy: Altar Server, Choir, Eucharistic Minister and Lector
  • Spiritual Growth: Christ Renews His Parish, That Man Is You and Cursillo.

I approach this ministry with a heart for service and the strength of the Word:

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”  — Philippians 4:13
