Hi! My name is Vicki Klocke and I serve as the Director of Evangelization and Faith Formation at St. Joseph Parish. My husband, Dennis, and I have been members of St. Joseph, Cold Spring parish since 1992, shortly after we were married. We raised 4 children in the parish and school, all of whom are now adults. St. Joseph Parish is our second home and family!

I became involved in RCIA (now called OCIA) in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s as a sponsor and RCIA team member. I co-coordinated the RCIA with the late Deacon Tim Schabell from 2003-2005. After the birth of my fourth child in 2005, I stepped back for a few years but continued to serve on the RCIA team. In 2009 I resumed my role as RCIA Coordinator, and in 2010 I took on the coordination of all Adult Faith Formation in the parish. In 2023 I began guiding our “With One Heart” parish pastoral planning process, and in August 2026, officially added this role to my parish responsibilities, taking on the new title of Director of Evangelization and Faith Formation.

It is my joy and my privilege to accompany people in many ways on their journey of faith, whether they are interested in becoming Catholic, are returning to practice of their Catholic faith after having been away from the Church, or have been a practicing Catholic their whole lives and desire to continue learning about and growing deeper in their faith. As a member of this parish for over 30 years and an employee for nearly 20 years, I am also thrilled to use my experience here at St. Joseph Parish to guide our parish pastoral plan.

Our Catholic Church – the Body of Christ, the teachings of the faith, and the Liturgy and Sacraments – are great gifts to be treasured, but we need to continually nurture and develop these gifts. Jesus’s last words to the Apostles before ascending to the Father were, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (MT 28:19) We are also instructed by St. Peter, “Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope.” (1 Peter 3:14). It is my goal to fulfill those directives from Christ and His chief Apostle, and to to assist others in doing so as well.

I am available as a resource in the area of faith formation, whether you are looking for guidance in prayer, a good book for spiritual reading, a faith sharing group to join, or opportunities to learn more about your faith in the parish, the diocese, or online.
